The B.G.S.'s part 11

1st July 2025

Hi Kiki I’m sorry I haven’t written to you since the 15th June, but there wasn’t much worth telling you since then till today. Except as the boys, girls and I were going to leave the school for two months; the teachers had us take our summer exams during the rest of June. Let me say this to you; today was the most unbelievable day of my life.

It all started this morning at 9am when the girls and I were getting ready to leave with Mr Yashiro and the boys. We were packing up some things to take with us in our suitcases; clothes, toothbrushes, pyjamas and some books to read. Of course I packed you with my stuff Kiki; I didn’t want to leave you behind.

“I can’t believe we are finally going to meet Mr Yashiro’s friend” said Yuko.

“I can’t believe the school and our parents agreed to let us go,” said Shizuyo “especially Hiroshi, Tatsuya and Kouhei. In the teacher’s eyes they are still untrustworthy”.

“Yes but we got the permission and we will all be free from the teachers all summer,” I said “but we mustn’t forget about our mission of finding the B.G.S.’s”.

“Speaking of B.G.S.’s,” said Shizuyo “I hope our idea of packing our B.G.S.’s into Mr Yashiro’s car will work”.

During June we came up with an idea of how to place the B.G.S.’s into Mr Yashiro’s car. Hiroshi, Tatsuya and Kouhei had a big gym bag each and they tested the bags to see if the B.G.S.’s could fit into all three of them. Good news is they did fit into the three bags, so there was no need to worry about how to pack them.

Just then there was a knock at the door; it was the dorm supervisor and she told us Mr Yashiro had arrived and he was waiting for us. The girls and I grabbed our suitcases and left our dorm room. Miss Harada was waiting for us outside the dorm building to lead us to Mr Yashiro’s car.

“I don’t know why Mr Yashiro asked you three girls and those three boys to help his friend out, but you must be on your best behaviour,” Miss Harada nagged to us “do the work you’re given properly, no messing about at the farm and no doing anything that will bring disgrace to the school”. Miss Harada’s nagging was so annoying, the girls and I were glad we were leaving in a minute.

We soon came to Mr Yashiro’s car. It was a red MVP car. The boys were already there, putting their stuff into the car. The idea was our luggage bags would go in the back, while the boys keep their gym bags on their laps. That way the B.G.S.’s wouldn’t get uncomfortable or get bounced around. As the girls, boys and I got into the car we heard the principals of the middle school and high school sections talking to Mr Yashiro; they asked him to call them every evening to tell them how the boys, girls and I were getting on, call them if any emergencies were happening and told him to take care of us. Mr Yashiro promised the principals he would call and have his friend take good care of us. Then Mr Yashiro got into the car and started the engine, and we were soon on our way.

The car journey to Mr Yashiro’s friend’s house was a three hour journey. During the journey we let the B.G.S.’s out of the gum bags, taking great care not to let anybody notice them. Also during the journey my friends and I decided to ask Mr Yashiro about his friend.

“Do excuse us Mr Yashiro,” I said “but we have been wondering about something. As you said the B.G.S.’s belong to your friend, does he come from outer space too?”

Mr Yashiro sighed. “You kids figured that out sooner than expected” he said.

“I knew it, he does come from outer space” said Yuko. She was getting excited by this because to her it was like being in a comic where aliens visit earth.

“So why is he down here on earth then?” asked Tatsuya “and why are the B.G.S.’s here too?”

“It’s best you kids wait till you meet my friend Professor Lagos,” said Mr Yashiro “because he can tell you the whole story about everything”.

“Then can you at least us know how you and the professor met please?” asked Tatsuya “it’s not fair that we don’t know anything about you and this professor from outer space”.

“I agree with Tatsuya; we would like to know how you and your friend from outer space know each other” said Hiroshi.

“I will tell you kids about how we met, but you may not believe this” said Mr Yashiro.

“Try us” I said.

Mr Yashiro told us that when he was a university student thirty years ago, he was spending his summer vacation with his parents who lived in the country side. One night he was looking up at the stars through his telescope, when suddenly he noticed something falling from the sky and landing in a forest not far from his house. To find out what the something was, he ran into the forest, believing it may have been a meteorite. But, to his surprise, he saw a small dented rocket ship with an injured man coming out of the door.

“A rocket ship? Seriously?” said Hiroshi.

“Believe it or not it’s the truth,” said Mr Yashiro “and that injured man who came out of the rocket ship was Professor Lagos”.

“What happened next?” I asked.

Mr Yashiro explained Professor Lagos was hurt with a cut on his head, so he brought him to his house for medication. Luckily Professor Largos’s injury wasn’t serious so he wasn’t in the danger zone. Thanks to the help of Mr Yashiro and his parents, Professor Largos was better after several days. After recovering Professor Largos told Mr Yashiro who he was, where he came from and that his rocket ship got hit by some asteroids which was why he crash landed on Earth.

“What happened to the rocket ship?” asked Tatsuya.

“It got damaged thanks to the sudden landing,” answered Mr Yashiro “and there were some parts that needed to replace. But thanks to a trip to a junkyard we found them and Professor Largos got the rocket ship working again. After the rocket ship was fixed he went back up to outer space, but we have been in contact with each other ever since; we contacted each other by computer and there are some times he would come back to Earth and visit me. You kids may not believe it but it’s the truth”.

“To be honest with you sir,” I said “because we’ve met the B.G.S.’s I’ll believe anything”.

“Me too” said the boys and girls altogether.

“Wait a minute, since this Professor Largos told you he came from outer space,” said Tatsuya “he didn’t tell your parents did he?”

“Oh no, no, no, only me;” said Mr Yashiro “even if he did my parents would have never believed him. So I kept his true identity a secret. I trust you kids will keep his identity a secret too?”

“Of course sir,” said Yuko “after all we have kept the B.G.S.’s a secret”. Mr Yashiro was happy to hear that.

We soon came to an area, which was out in the middle of nowhere, where Professor Largos lived. He lived in a big lone house, and there were no other houses about. The house looked normal and my friends and I were disappointed; we thought it was going to be like those sci-fic future houses you see in the science fiction movies. We all got out of the car, including the B.G.S.’s, and walked up to the door. Mr Yashiro pressed the door bell and a voice through a security door phone asked who it was.

“Hi Largos my friend,” said Mr Yashiro “I brought the children I told you about along with our little friends they found”.

“Come on in the door is open” said the voice on the door phone. Mr Yashiro opened the door and we went in.

Now this is the first unbelievable part Kiki. When we went inside, the house wasn’t normal as it was outside. There were robots in the house, and I do mean real robots. One robot was mopping a floor, one was vacuuming a carpet, one was dusting a shelf and one was cleaning a window.

“Oh my god wow!” gasped Kouhei.

“This is unbelievable!” gasped Hiroshi.

“Ha this is better than the movies” laughed Tatsuya.

“Hello there” said a man, walking towards us. This man was Professor Largos and believe it or not he was an actual human. No weird hair, eyes or ears like people from outer space do in the movies, but I wasn’t complaining.

“It’s nice to see you again Yashiro” said Professor Largos.

“You too Professor,” said Mr Yashiro “these kids are Kyoko, Shizuyo, Yuko, Hiroshi, Tatsuya and Kouhei”.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you all,” said Professor Largos “and I thank you kids for finding some of my friends. Hey everyone they are here!”

To my surprise more than 100 B.G.S.’s appeared, all in different colours. So many colours I can’t really say them all.

“I can’t believe my eyes” said Yuko, picking one up to cuddle it.

“I do” said Hiroshi.

“Now I take it you kids have some questions for me?” asked Professor Largos.

“You’re right we do professor,” I said “I mean why are you and the B.G.S.’s here on Earth? And how did all the B.G.S.’s end up scattered all over Japan?”

“I was wondering if you kids would ask me this,” said Professor Largos “you all be seated while I grab some tea for all of us”.

Mr Yashiro, the boys, girls and I sat down while Mr Yashiro made some green tea for us. Then a robot brought the tea in for us on a tray. I’m telling you Kiki I wish we had robots at the school that would clean and fetch things for us. Anyway, while we sipped our teas Professor Largos told us what happened with the B.G.S.’s. Apparently what happened was this. Professor Largos was taking a trip to Earth, taking the B.G.S.’s with him, to visit Mr Yashiro in a big rocket ship. But then one of engines on his rocket ship went haywire and he lost control of the ship. To make matters worse the ship ran into a meteoroid just as it was reaching Earth and it made a hole in the ship. Because of that hole all the B.G.S.’s fell out of the ship and they landed all over Japan on Earth.

“And so because of that accident I’ve been searching the B.G.S.’s ever since” said Professor Largos, finishing the story, “thanks to my computers I was able to locate lots of them around Japan.

“And I’ve been helping him;” said Mr Yashiro “he told me about what happened when he arrived on Earth”.

“Shizuyo, Yuko and I first found the B.G.S.’s on the 5th May,” I said “so I take it the accident with the ship happened at that time, am I right?”

“Correct young lady,” answered Professor Largos “and again I thank you children for finding more of the B.G.S.’s. And I also thank you for agreeing on helping me find the rest”.

“Do excuse me professor,” I said “but how exactly are we supposed to travel over Japan? Mr Yashiro told us that you know how to get to places for free. How do you do that?”

Professor Largos smiled. “Come with me kids and I will show you” he said.

Professor Largos led us to his big basement, but this basement was more like a science lab. There were computers and machines everywhere; there were even some chemistry sets.

“Woah, seriously?!” gasped Tatsuya.

“This is how you kids will get to places” said Professor Largos. He pointed to a machine with a big round platform. “This is my teleportation machine; you stand on the platform, I type in on the computer where you want to go and the machine will teleport you there”.

“Oh go on” said Hiroshi, not really believing that.

“If you don’t believe me kid, try my machine for yourself” said Professor Largos.

Hiroshi stepped onto the teleportation machine with no hesitation. Professor Largos handed him a remote control that had a big round button on it. “You press the button to come back here again” he said. So Hiroshi held onto the remote control and got into position on the machine. Professor Largos typed in something on a computer and then pressed a button. Before our eyes, Hiroshi disappeared.

“Where’s he gone?!” gasped Tatsuya.

“Don’t worry I only sent him a few miles away from here,” answered Professor Largos “all he needs to do now is press the button on the remote to get back”.

As soon as Professor Largos said that Hiroshi suddenly came back because he remembered to push the button.

“Woah,” said Hiroshi, feeling giddy and taking care not to fall over.

“Wow that was incredible” said Kouhei.

“And that is how my teleportation machine works” said Professor Largos.

“Please don’t do anymore,” Hiroshi called out “I don’t know where I’m coming or going right now”.

“Does anybody apart from us know anything about your house or inventions Professor Largos” asked Tatsuya.

“Oh no, no, only you and Mr Yashiro,” said Professor Largos “as you kids probably know I don’t want anybody to know about me and my home in space. That is why I live here out in the middle of nowhere where you don’t get people really, so they won’t know about me. And truth be told I cover my home up with a special shield that makes my house invisible to the public in case anyone comes here”.

“But the house wasn’t invisible to us when we arrived” said Shizuyo.

“That’s because Mr Yashiro told me he was coming so I didn’t have the shield up” said Mr Yashiro “otherwise Mr Yashiro and you kids wouldn’t have been able to see it”.

“It’s like the movies,” said Yuko “aliens always hide their space ships or whatever by making them invisible so no one could see them”.

“Seriously Yuko, you and your liking for science fiction” sighed Shizuyo.

“Okay everyone,” said Mr Yashiro “I think that’s enough excitement for today. Now I suggest you kids go upstairs for a bath or shower while I have a chat with Largos”.

“Good idea,” said Professor Largos “there are two big bathrooms upstairs, so you boys can share one while the girls share the other. You can choose whatever you want, bath or shower, oh and they are both voice controlled. So you speak to the baths or showers and tell them what you want”.

“Okay yes I fancy a bath myself,” I said “come on everyone let’s go”. Then we left the basement.

After leaving the basement the boys, girls and I went to find the bathrooms.

“What did the professor mean his bathrooms are voice controlled?” asked Shizuyo.

“I don’t know,” I said “but somehow I have that strange feeling inside me saying this house is not what you call normal”.

“I already call this house abnormal,” said Tatsuya “with all the robots and stuff”.

We soon found a bathroom. Now here comes the second unbelievable part Kiki. The bathroom was big as Professor Largos said. It held a big bath tub that five people could fit in, like those you see in bath houses, a large shower cubicle, a toilet and three sinks. There was even a chair you could put clothes on.

“Wow nice bathroom,” said Shizuyo “this looks better than the bathrooms we have back at school”.

“It certainly looks normal to me” said Hiroshi.

“Yes but remember the professor said we had to talk to the bathroom to make the bath or shower work” I said. I entered the bathroom and walked to the bath tub. “Bath tub I want a hot bath with bubbles please”. Suddenly the bath tub filled up with hot water by itself and a robotic arm came out of the wall, placed some bubble bath in the bath and disappeared again. Then the bath tub stopped filling up with water and the bath was ready.

“Did you all see that?!” I gasped.

“I saw it but I don’t believe it!” gasped Shizuyo.

“This is great!” called out Yuko.

The boys went to find the other bathroom while Yuko, Shizuyo and I claimed the bathroom we were already in. Shizuyo and I went into the bath together while Yuko decided to try out the shower.

“Shower I would like a warm shower with some soap please” said Yuko.

Once Yuko said that the shower turned itself on, and then a robotic arm came out of the wall and washed her with a sponge covered in soap. Yuko laughed, saying it was great. To be honest with you Kiki I found the bathroom great myself.

After Shizuyo, Yuko and I finished with the bath and shower and put our clothes back on, we met up with the boys. They told us of their time with the voice controlled bath and shower and couldn’t stop raving on how cool it was.

“Okay I don’t know anything about you guys, but I am starving now” said Kouhei.

“Me too actually,” said Yuko “let’s go ask Professor Largos if we can have something to eat”.

We all thought that was a great idea. So we went back to the basement where Professor Largos and Mr Yashiro were and asked the professor if we could have something to eat.

“Certainly,” said Professor Largos “as a matter of fact I fancy some food myself so let’s all go to the kitchen for some dinner”.

Professor Largos led us to his kitchen which was big and there was a long table with chairs that could hold eight people. While Mr Yashiro, the boys, the girls and I sat down at the table, Professor Largos was standing next to a machine with a big computer screen.

“Okay everyone what would you like to eat?” asked Professor Largos.

“I would like the steak dinner set with rice, a salad with tomatoes and cucumber and miso soup, and I want the steak to be grade A please” said Mr Yashiro.

“Coming right up” said Professor Largos.

Here comes the third unbelievable part Kiki. Professor Largos typed in what Mr Yashiro ordered onto the machine and pressed a button. A picture of the meal appeared on the screen and then a laser beam shot out of the screen and created the steak meal onto the table.

“Oh my god!” gasped Tatsuya. The boys, girls and I were all shocked about what just happened.

“Did that really just happen?” asked Kouhei.

“Yes it did,” answered Professor Largos “this machine I created can make anything you want to eat. As I like the food they serve here in Japan I made this machine to only make food they serve in Japan”.

“Well then I want ramen with three pieces of ham, two eggs and corn please” said Yuko.

“I’d like a sushi dinner with soy sauce, that’s my favourite” said Shizuyo.

“I want omelette rice with salad please” I said.

“I want beef curry with an egg on top please” said Hiroshi.

“I’d like smoked eel with rice, clam soup and fried shrimps please” said Kouhei.

“A chicken cutlet rice bowl for me please” said Tatsuya.

Professor Largos typed in our orders on the machine and the machine created our orders. The food was delicious even if it was created by a machine. It was the best dinner my friends and I have ever had Kiki and I wish I had a machine that could make food like Professor Largos’s machine.

After having that great dinner Professor Largos and Mr Yashiro told us to go to bed. There were three big bedrooms in the house; the boys were to share one bedroom while Shizuyo, Yuko and I were to share the second one. Mr Yashiro and Professor Largos were going to share the third bedroom. My friends and I thought the bedrooms were going to be unusual too you know like with beds appearing from walls or whatever. But no they were normal bedrooms with futons. Professor Largos liked futons which is why he wanted to have futons in his bedrooms instead of beds. It was his house so it’s his decisions wouldn’t you agree Kiki? The futons were nice and comfy, the blankets were nice and warm and the pillows were big and soft.

So Kiki it was as I said to you already this day was the most unbelievable day of my life, and it makes me wonder if there will be any more unbelievable days while we stay with Professor Largos.
